Crypto investment firm Grayscale reveals record inflows
July 24, 2018
Leading digital asset investment firm Grayscale has revealed record inflows in the first half of 2018.
The New York-based company pulled in almost $250m in new investment capital in the first six months of this year, the best showing since the company was set up in 2013.
As reported in Investing.com, more than half of the new investment came from institutional investors. The average investment of institutional investors was about $850,000.
Some 20% of inflows came from accredited investors, meaning they had a net worth of at least $1m, excluding the value of their primary residence.
Grayscale insisted the scale of inflows showed that crypto investors viewed “falling prices as an opportunity.”
