Cryptocurrency prices fall: ethereum and ripple lose 8%
Cryptocurrency prices were lower on Wednesday, with losses widening as the morning progressed with ethereum and ripple both registering daily losses of more than 8%.
Ethereum continued to decline, despite the announcement on Tuesday that Google had added the token to its BigQuery data platform.
John Isige, analyst at FXStreet, noted ethereum’s current weakness on the charts. He said: “Ethereum is trading below the 50SMA on the 15-minutes chart. The trend is generally bearish, besides technical signals are quite negative.”
