Ex-Amazon Wagner jumps to Coinbase as engineering VP
Coinbase has hired ex-Amazon cloud service vice president as their new engineering boss. Tim Wagner oversaw a roster of Amazon Web Services business units before making the switch to Coinbase.
“Tim is passionate about the Coinbase mission,” said the San Francisco-based digital currency player, “he’s aligned with our values, and he has deep experience with leading great technical organizations. These qualities, along with his engineering expertise, make him the ideal addition to our team.”

The ex Princeton University and University of California-Berkeley graduate has also worked for Microsoft.

Coinbase is working hard to attract new talent, witness ex Linked-In hire Emilie Choi and ex-Twitter operations VP operations & tech Tina Bhatnagar; Bhatnagar now handles customer relations at Coinbase.
Recently Jeff Horowitz joined as Chief Compliance Officer; Horowitz hailed from Pershing LLC, a Bank of New York Mellon subsidiary.
Yesterday Coindesk reported that Coinbase would resume its Wyoming services following concern over licence conditions stipulated by the Wyoming Money Transmitters Act.
