In a week away from 2019, industry leaders shared their prospective on cryptocurrency’s nearest future in the upcoming year. And while the crypto market is not a ‘fortune-telling’ game by any means, it’s always fun to guess what happens, and wish for something in the new year! Below is our carefully gathered list of the most exciting predictions, in no particular order.

crypto 2019

Tim Draper, U.S. venture capitalist and founder of Draper Associates, is mainly “sticking” to his “original prediction” and is confident that Bitcoin will hit $250K by 2022.

David Drake, founder and chairman of LDJ Capital, is sure that Ether will reach its $500 mark already by mid 2019.

Ella Zang, head of Binance Labs, is positive that more startups from their incubator will ensure the future of crypto adoption is bright.

Mitch Liu, CEO of Theta Labs, went even further and noted that by year’s end, the “first legitimate national cryptocurrency will be launched, linked to a fiat currency from a G-20 nation.” Another prediction that Liu pointed is the adoption of cryptocurrencies by Facebook, which would either “use an existing cryptocurrency or a new one created by them.”

The latter prediction might actually be already happening now, the time will tell about the other ones – we’ll check back next year!
