Wirex to offer Ethereum
London-based crypto wallet operator Wirex confirmed this morning it has added ethereum support. In a release Wirex founder Pavel Matveev says the decision to add an ETH wallet to the Wirex roster was straightforward.
“Ethereum represents the second most valuable cryptocurrency after Bitcoin – and therefore the world’s biggest altcoin – making the development of the Ethereum Wallet a priority for Wirex.”
FCA support gleaned
Wirex was granted a UK Financial Conduct Authority e-money licence on the 21 August. Wirex Limited claims its the third crypto-friendly company in the world to have been granted the licence.
The FCA was formed to protect consumers, enhance market integrity and promote competition, and has strict requirements for companies looking to qualify for their licences added Wirex. “This e-money licence will boost trust in Wirex and cement our reputation as a global player.”
The Wirex ethereum wallet can be converted to GBP, EUR or USD using a Wirex Payment Card. Wirex users have four cryptocurrency wallets – Bitcoin, Litecoin, XRP and Ethereum. Wirex was originally tagged E-Coin.
